Love the line..."Like training a new puppy, I said over and over again, "Stay. Stay." Yes, it's like that. As for not for everyone...I can't help but think of all the books I've closed because they weren't for me, or books I never even bought because I knew, they weren't for me. Just like my books aren't for everyone, neither are all books for me. Still, I remember reviews and critiques that stung a little. Thanks Dian. And yes, never too late.
Hello Dian I so agree with Shelly “I guess I am not for everybody” it had taken me a very long time with my art & floral design to accept that. Now at my age I have found peace. ❤️
Just finished reading About the Carleton Sisters. Just before reading this I read Hang The Moon by Jeannette Walls and Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. All 3 books worked well together. The Carleton Sisters, though, showed a unique dialogue that siblings and families carry for dysfunctional reasons, a strange life of its own. Wonderful writing for the reader's self reflection. I was at the Book Catapult in San Diego when Dian Greenwood gave a Reader's Theater presentation about the book, although I did not know of the book at that point. So fun!! I hope you do more of this.

Thanks for commenting, Nancy. The main thing is to DO IT no matter what.
You're reminding me of a line from Lena Dunham: "I guess I'm not for everybody."
Thank you, Shelley. That's exactly what I'm trying to say.
Well done!
